Ingredients:
13 lbs tomatoes
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 lb celery
2 cinnamon sticks
1 quart onion, chopped
2 lbs brown sugar
3 green peppers
1/4 cup salt
1/2 tablespoon clove, ground
1 quart cider vinegar
Directions:
1. Scald, then peel tomatoes; cook 15 minutes.
2. Drain off half juice.
3. Chop remaining vegetables; add tomatoes; simmer about 90 minutes.
4. Tie spices in cloth bag.
5. Add bag of spices and remaining ingredients to tomato mixture.
6. Continue cooking 90 minutes.
7. Remove bag of spices; seal mixture in hot, sterilized jars.
