a mild chili without green peppers, they can easily be added for preference.
Ingredients:
3 lb lean hamburger
3 large onions
3 cloves garlic
43 1/2 oz tomato puree
87 oz diced tomatoes
6 tbs chili powder
6 tsp salt
3 tsp sugar
5 tbs worcestershire sauce
75 oz kidney beans
1/2 cup olive oil
Directions:
1. put hamburger, garlic, tomatoes, chili powder, salt, sugar, and worcestershire sauce into a slow cooker and set to approx. 225 degrees. Can also cook on stove on low setting.
2. put olive oil and onions on a pan and cook til soft. add to hamburger mix.
3. Let simmer, stirring occasionally, to desired thickness, add kidney beans approx. 1 hour before done. I cook for approx 2-3 hours. Can all be done in 1 hour but will be juicier.
4. makes approx. 35 1 cup servings.
