Chicken Wild Rice Soup

This soup is great for a cold winter day. It's good with crusty bread to dip. It's so easy & fast to make!!
Ingredients:
1 med onion, chopped
1 can (4 ounces) mushrooms, drained
2 tbl butter or margarine
3 cups of water
2 cups of chicken broth
1 pkg (6 ounces) long grain & wild rice mix
2 cups diced cooked chicken
1 cup whipping cream
minced fresh parsley
Directions:
1. In a large sauce pan saute onion & mushrooms in butter until onion is tender.
2. add water, broth, and rice mix with contents of seasoning packet, bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender.
3. stir in chicken and cream, heat through, sprinkle with parsley.
