Chicken Stir-Fry with Basil (Gai Pad Bai Gaprow)

Ingredients:
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped fine
2 jalapeno peppers
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp fish sauce
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp soy sauce (low sodium)
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 cups basil leaves
2 tbsp lime juice
Directions:
1. Freeze chicken, wrapped in plastic wrap, 30 minutes to facilitate slicing.
2. Cut chicken lengthwise (along grain) into thin slices and cut slices lengthwise into thin strips. Cut strips crosswise into 2-inch pieces.
3. Heat a wok or heavy skillet over high heat until hot.
4. Add oil and heat until hot but not smoking.
5. Add garlic and stir-fry until golden.
6. Add chicken and cook, stirring constantly to prevent sticking, until all chicken is opaque white, 3 to 4 minutes.
7. Add chilies, broth or water, fish sauce, sugar, soy sauce, and black pepper and stir-fry until combined.
8. Add basil and stir-fry 30 seconds.
9. Stir in lime juice.
10. Serve chicken with rice.
