A perfect middle eastern dish! My husband couldnt get enough of it & actually wanted the leftovers the next day!!!! Also in my opinion, it's better than any restaurant i've tried in the US!! So enjoy!
Ingredients:
4 pieces boneless chicken (cut into cubes)
5 skewers, for chicken
pita bread, for chicken
3 sliced tomatoes, for sandwich
3 pieces lettuce
3 stalks green onions
3 medium sliced pickles
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice (arabic spice)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon sazon goya
1/2 tablespoon sumac (arabic spice)
4 garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 1/2 tablespoons sesame paste (tahinah)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions:
1. **Prepare the marinade by mixing all of the ingredients together (except pita bread) then adding the chicken cubes into the mixture. make sure you mix it well when adding the chicken. Store in the fridge for a few hours. although you should take it out an hour before cooking. when ready to bake,set the oven on 400 degrees. place chicken on skewers then bake for 30 minutes (or until chciken looks ready).
2. **Prepare the garlic spread by mixing the (garlic gloves,lemon juice & salt) in a blender. blend for 1-2 minutes.while its still blending, gradually add the veg oil & olive oil untill you start to see it thicken up. when done, add tahinah into the mixture & blend. finally,add the mayo then whip it with a spoon or fork. Place in fridge for 1 hour.
3. **When making the sandwich, put the garlic spread first onto the pita bread then add chciken & any veggy you desire.
