This is one of my old recipes that I am quite fond of. It is easy to make, very delicous and gets you full fast. Tips: Precook the chicken by frying in olive oil and a pinch of salt.
Ingredients:
3 chicken breasts
1/4 cup olive oil
1 pinch salt
1 (1 ounce) package onion soup mix
1 (15 ounce) package mixed vegetables
1 (2 3/4 ounce) packet country gravy mix (mixed with water but not cooked)
2 cups bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup water
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 deg F.
2. Cut chicken breasts into 1/2 inch cubes. Pour olive oil and salt into preheated frying pan. allow 2 to 3 minutes to allow oil to heat. Fry chicken until both sides are white. Remove from pan and set aside.
3. Mix together in a casserole dish: uncooked/mixed gravy mix, onion soup mix, package of vegitables(thawed), cooked chicken.
4. Stir together in large mixing bowl bisquick mix and water until soft dough forms. Pinch off small balls of dough and cover top of ingredients in casserole dish.
5. When dish is completely covered with dough, bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Served best immediately from oven.
