Chicken Nuggets With Cranberry Dip

this is a recipe that can be used with either chicken or turkey.. the prep time does not include the marinating time.. it makes a nice change from the regular nuggets.. the recipe is adapted from a Pillsbury Appetizer and snacks cookbook
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 teasp. prepared horseradish
1/4 teasp.salt
1 lb. boneless chicken breast or turkey breast tenderloins, cut into 1 inch pieces
2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
2/3 cup ground walnuts
2 tbsp. butter, melted
***** for gluten free use gluten free bread crumbs
cranberry dip
1 ( 8 oz. ) can ( 1 cup ) jellied cranberry sauce
1/4 cup sour cream
2 teasp. prepared horseradish
Directions:
1. in small bowl mix all dip ingredients.. blend well
2. refrigerate until ready to serve
3. in medium non metal bowl mix: sour cream, lemon juice, horseradish, and salt.
4. mix well
5. add chicken pieces.. toss to coat well
6. cover and marinate in refrigerator for 2 to 24 hours
7. in shallow dish combine the bread crumbs and walnuts
8. remove the chicken from marinate and roll in the crumb mixture
9. coat evenly
10. place in a greased 15 x 10 inch baking pan. drizzle with the melted butter
11. bake in a 350' F oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and thoroughly cooked
12. serve warm nuggets with the cold dip..
