Chicken And Vegetable Pasta Salad

I was asked to bring a pasta salad to a picnic over the weekend. Searching the internet for something different to take, I found this recipe. It was a big hit!
Ingredients:
16 ounces tri-colored spiral pasta, cooked and cooled
1 cup carrot, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
1 cup broccoli florets, cut in bite size pieces (i steam this just a little and cool to give a milder flavor. but just personal preference)
1/2 sweet onion, finely chopped (optional)
1 pound boneless chicken, diced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
8 to 10 ounces italian salad dressing
salt to taste
Directions:
1. Saute chicken in oil until fully cooked. Season with garlic powder and pepper. Drain and cool.
2. In large bowl, combine pasta, vegetables and chicken.
3. Add salad dressings and stir to coat.
4. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons water if salad appears dry.
5. Season to taste with salt.
6. Cover and chill.
