Chicken And Sausage Gumbo

A delicious meal in itself. I usually serve it with potato salad, cornbread and sweet tea.
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken, seasoned to taste, boiled and deboned (reserve broth)
1/2-lb smoked sausage of your choice, cut into bite sized peices
1 large onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
4-ribs celery, chopped
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
1 tspn minced garlic
2-tspn black pepper
1-tbspn salt
1-tspn paprika
1-(8-oz)can tomato sauce
1(10-oz)can rotel tomatoes (original)
reserved chicken broth plus addition swanson chicken broth to equal 8-10 cups(depending on your taste)
1-cup chopped okra ( i usually have to use frozen but fresh is best)
Directions:
1. Make a roux with the oil and flour.
2. Saute fresh ingredients in roux.
3. Combine all other ingredients(except chicken) and bring to a boil.
4. Cover, lower heat, and cook on low heat until almost done (1 1/2-2 hours).
5. Add cooked chicken and continue to simmer fo an additional 3-45 minutes.
