Chicken and Potato Casserole

This is an easy to make dinner, especially on a cold winter day.
Ingredients:
6 -8 large potatoes (boiled and shredded)
2 chicken (baked and chopped)
8 ounces sour cream
1 (8 ounce) can cream soup
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup scallion
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 lb cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Saute onions in butter. Heat milk, sauted onions, soup, chicken and sour cream.
2. In bottom of buttered baking dish place a layer of shredded potatoes. About 1- 2-inches thick.
3. Pour half of heated sauce over layer of potatoes.
4. Then add a layer of cheese.
5. Repeat for one more layer of potatoes and sauce and cheese.
6. Bake at 350° for 30- 45 minutes covered.
