Ingredients:
3 pound(s) boneless chicken breast
4 quart(s) chicken broth
1 stick(s) butter
salt to taste
1 cup(s) cold milk
1 cup(s) chicken broth for dumplings
self-rising flour
Directions:
1. Boil chicken in a lot of broth until tender. Salt to taste, but be careful because there will be salt in the remaining ingredients. Remove the chicken to a dish. To make dumplings: Combine 1 cup broth, butter, and milk. Add self-rising flour until dough is thick enough to roll. Roll on floured board; cut into strips and drop into broth. Do not overcrowd, cook very slowly. This makes enough for 18-20 people. Half the recipe.
