I have named this scrub after the Zaar member/chef who gave me the idea and inspiration to make this. There was a topic about nuts and their use by date I had a look in my kitchen cupboard and found ground almonds which had passed their date. I use almonds in the soaps I make, but at the moment I am into the salt scrubs. The vitamin E is in there for your skin and as an extra preservative. You can use different oil; choose any vegetable oil you like. I used almond fragrance oil for this scrub, and for the grated soap a cream bar. So Chia... here it is!
Ingredients:
1 cup fine sea salt
1/2 cup ground almonds
1/2 cup grated bath soap, bar
1/8 cup glycerin
1/2 cup almond oil
5 -6 vitamin e, capsules
essential oils or fragrance oil (optional)
Directions:
1. Mix salt, almonds and soap in a glass bowl.
2. Pierce or cut the vitamin capsules and add together with the glycerin and almond oil to the salt mixture, mix well and then add the fragrance oil.
3. Transfer to a jar, plastic preferred, and use twice a week as a body scrub when having a bath or shower.
4. When using it in the shower make sure you are on a non-slip surface.
