Okay, so I bought these Jiffy white cake mixes in the little boxes cuz they were on clearance for 59 cents. Didn't know what I was going to do with them. I don't even eat white cake! But lo and behold on the back was a recipe for these great sounding bars. Read more . So here they are, I doubled it and used 2 boxes, so that is how it is written. Ingredients:
2 boxes jiffy white cake mix (don't know if it would work with any other) |
1 block of butter, softened |
5 tbls evaporated milk |
8 oz. bag toffee chips |
8 oz. chocolate chips |
1 cup chopped nuts (i used walnuts cuz that's what i had, recipe called for pecans) |
that's it! now you know why i was excited! lol |
Directions:
1. Soften butter in micro if necessary
2. Add cake mix, nuts, chips, and evaporated milk
3. Stir together good
4. Press into 9x11 baking pan
5. Bake at 350* for approximately 30 minutes till slightly browned
6. (if doing just one box and half ingredients, use 8x8 and cook 20 minutes)
7. Cool and cut and enjoy!
