Chewy, Low Fat, Alternative Flour Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup raisins or 1/4 cup dried cranberries

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In large bowl, cream margarine, baking soda, ginger, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg until combined.
  3. Add sugar and egg and mix until blended.
  4. Mash bananas and add to bowl with applesauce.
  5. Add oats and flour.
  6. Add chocolate chips, sunflower seeds and raisins.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes. Cookies will be chewy and delicious!
