Chewy Granola Bars

You can make these bars your own picking different ingredients to add in. Try a comibnation of raisins, chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, etc.
Ingredients:
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup wheat bran
1 cup white whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons flax seed meal
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup raisins
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beatten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup applesauce
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Grease a 9X13 inch baking pan.
3. Mix together oats, brown sugar, wheat bran, cinnamon, flour, raisins, flaxseed and salt.
4. Make a well in the center and add the oil, egg, applesauce and vanilla.
5. Mix well using your hands.
6. Pat the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
7. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheat oven.
8. Cool for 5 minutes and cut into bars.
