Delicious and chewy.. if you undercook them slightly they will be chewier for longer.
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 (11 1/2 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In one bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. In separate bowl, mix butter, brown sugar, and sugar.
4. Add vanilla, egg, and egg yolk to the wet ingredients (butter, brown sugar, sugar mixture). Mix well.
5. Add dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt) to wet mixture.
6. Add chocolate chips, mix until chips are incorporated.
7. By hand, roll pieces of dough into 1 1/4 inch balls then flatten until approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Place on cookie sheet covered by parchment paper.
8. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Let them sit for about 10 minutes. The earlier you take them out, the chewier they will be.
