This is a delicious summer drink for the months of July and August when the fruits are available fresh. I make this for my kids for breakfast and snacks and they love it. It is from a really old Sunset (July 1990).
Ingredients:
1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup crushed ice
2 cups pitted dark sweet cherries
1 medium nectarine, pitted and chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
orange wedge (to garnish)
Directions:
1. Puree the first six ingredients until smooth in a blender or food processor. Taste and add more sugar if desired. Pour into glasses and garnish with Orange wedge.
