Cherry-Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwiches

The combination of sweet cherries, crunchy walnuts, and spicy green onions turns ordinary chicken salad into a real treat.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped dried sweet cherries
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/3 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1/3 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
1 tablespoon reduced-fat sour cream
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
3 cups shredded cooked chicken breast (about 3/4 pound)
12 (0.8-ounce) slices light 100% whole wheat bread (such as weight watchers)
Directions:
1. Combine first 9 ingredients in a large bowl. Add chicken; stir to coat. Spread 1/2 cup chicken mixture over each of 6 bread slices. Top with remaining bread slices.
