Love this cake, it's moist, easy to make and very yummie if you like cherries complimented by almond flavoring. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/2 lb butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp almond flavoring
2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 (6-8 ounces) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
Directions:
1. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl.
2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each one.
3. Add sour cream, vanilla, and remaining ingredients. Mix just until moist.
4. Pour into a greased 10 round pan.
5. Bake at 350° for one hour.
