This pound cake is so moist and delicious! My mother gave me the recipe, and I just had to post it here. My husband is not a big fan of desserts, but he just loves this cake.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups chopped walnuts
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 (6 -8 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
Directions:
1. Cream the butter and sugar together.
2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each one.
3. Add sour cream, vanilla, and remaining ingredients.
4. Mix just until moist.
5. Pour into a greased 10 round pan.
6. Bake at 350° for one hour.
