Cheesy Shepherds Pie Croquettes

This is great to do with leftovers. I wanted something deep fried and I wanted shepherd's pie so I decided to mix the two. This is great to make with leftovers! Make sure ALL water is drained when making mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
3 large yellow potatoes, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 lb ground turkey or 1/2 lb beef
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
seasoning salt
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (corn or peas or carrots)
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup french's french fried onions, crushed
1 egg
Directions:
1. 1. boil and mash potatoes, set aside.
2. 2. heat oil and seasoning salt in pan.
3. 3. add meat and worcestershire sauce.
4. 4. heat until browned.
5. 5. add mixed vegetables.
6. 6. put bread crumbs and onions into a bowl and mix.
7. 7. mix meat mixture, cheese and egg into mashed potatoes. stir quickly so egg doesn't scramble.
8. 8. refrigerate mixture for at least one hour.
9. 9. form mixture into croquette shaped balls.
10. 10. roll in bread and onion mixture.
11. 11. deep fry in oil.
12. serve hot with ketchup and enjoy!
