Cheesy-Jalapeno Italian Bread

Not the healthiest of appetizers, and I don't remember where it came from, and it may sound odd, but it's really very tasty.
Ingredients:
1 large store made italian bread
1 cup butter, softened
2 (6 ounce) cans sliced jalapenos, diced
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup shredded mexican cheese
Directions:
1. Mix the peppers into the butter. Mix the cheese into the mayo. Cut the bread in half lengthwise. Spread butter/jalapeno mixture on both halves of bread, and then spread the mayo/cheese mixture on both halves of the bread. Bake at 350 until brown and bubbling about 20 minutes.
