Cheesy Egg Breakfast Casserole

This is a versatile recipe that you can add fried bacon, sausage, tomatoes, onions etc. I have kept it basic because I am serving bacon and sausage on the side along with fried mashed potatoes, toasted zucchini bread and grilled pineapple slices.
Ingredients:
12 large eggs
1cup heavy cream or whipping cream
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cans (8 ounces) chopped green chile peppers, drained (optional)
12 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°.
2. In a bowl combine eggs, cream, salt, and pepper; beat until smooth and well blended. Stir in chopped chili peppers. Lightly grease a shallow 1-quart baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over bottom of prepared baking dish then pour egg mixture over cheese. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until set. If desired, broil for a minute or two.
3. You can add any of the meats or vegetable that I mentioned to make it a complete breakfast in one.
