These are a kid favorite recipe. We can't have a bbq without the kids looking for these. My mom must have gotten this from Pillsbury source years ago. I grew up on this cookie.
Ingredients:
2 (18 ounce) packages pillsbury refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
16 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cut one roll of cookie mix into 1/4 inch slices.
3. Put slices in ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
4. In bowl, blend 16 oz. cream cheese, at medium speed, until softened.
5. Add sugar and blend well.
6. Add eggs and vanilla and mix thoroughly.
7. Pour evenly over slices in the pan.
8. Cut 2nd roll of cookie mix into 1/4 inch slices.
9. Place in pan, on top of mixture.
10. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top (if desired).
11. Bake 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
