When you want to impress the potluck crowd, this is the cheesecake to bring to the table. Ingredients:

1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix |
1/2 cup of coconut |
1/2 cup of butter |
1 egg |
filling |
3 8 oz. packages of cream cheese softened |
3/4 cup of sugar |
1 tsp of vanila extract |
1 tbsp of lemon juice |
5 eggs |
topping |
2 cups of sour cream |
2 tbsp of sugar |
1/2 vanilla |
1/2 tsp of lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Base: Blend ingredients: press into 13 x 9 x 2 pan.
2. Filling: Combine ingredients; spread over base.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
4. Topping: Mix topping, spread over cheesecake, return to oven and bake another 8 minutes.
5. Garnish with toasted coconut and/or 1/3 cup of chopped pecans.
6. Chill for 8 hours.
7. Serves 18.
