This is a simple one. The explanations and my round about reasoning will be longer then the recipe. Heck if you start it now you might be able to eat before you finish this part. Yep that was it, so she fixed some crock pot pulled pork, always excellent and we needed something to go with it. So the Cheese Rice, spent too much time in Asia so rice is a staple around the 555 area. But rice can get a bit boring at times and sometimes it needs a bit of something to make it fit in with the other things, don’t you think? So do I. Our daughter was with us (Miss 554 or 665 depending on the day) and she does not have a very adventuresome pallet, so something mild, this worked, hope you like it. Ingredients:
2 cups uncooked instant brown rice
3 tbs grated onion (grate over the rice water)
1 tsp dill weed (in the rice water)
4 slices cooked bacon
3 oz velveeta cheese cubed
Directions:
1. Grate the onion into the rice water before cooking
2. Chop cooked bacon into the rice water
3. Add dill weed
4. Cook rice according to the direction on the box
5. After rice is cooked
6. Add cubed Velveeta cheese and stir it in
7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350 for 30 minutes
