Quick and easy. Great with drinks!!! It's really better to make this dough up several days in advance. The crackers really improve for sitting in the fridge. In fact the dough will be good for about 5 days. These are a favorite of my husband so seldom last that long!!! And, of course, you can bake them right away if you want. I cut the rectangle of dough in half and roll out half at a time.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
8 tablespoons butter
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
Directions:
1. Put flour, salt and cayanne pepper in bowl of a food prossessor and blitz.
2. Cube butter and cheese and add to flour mixture.
3. Add worcestershire sauce and blitz until it begins to form a ball.
4. Spread out a long piece of plastic wrap and dump mixture onto it (Make sure it is long enough to spread mix into a rectangular disc). Wrap up and press into shape. Place in zip bag and refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour.
5. Roll out between 2 pieces of waxed paper to about 1/8 inch deep. Cut into desired shapes.
6. Bake at 350°F for 12 to 14 minutes.
