If you like grits, you will love this casserole. It is an awesome side dish to poultry or seafood, it's also nice at breakfast or brunch. Enjoy
Ingredients:
4 cups water
1 cup old-fashioned grits
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter melted
2 eggs beaten
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon paprika
Directions:
1. In large saucepan bring water to a boil then stir in grits and salt.
2. Reduce heat then cover and simmer for 7 minutes or until thickened then cool slightly.
3. Gradually whisk in milk, butter and eggs then stir in cheese, Worcestershire and cayenne.
4. Transfer to a greased 2 quart baking dish then sprinkle with paprika.
5. Bake uncovered at 350 for 35 minutes then allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.
