this is just plain simple and quick using store bought chocolate sandwich cookies............kids will love to help make these.........enjoy courtesy 100 best bake sale recipes Ingredients:
1 2/3 - cups ( 10 ounce) package reese's peanut butter morsels |
1- cup hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips or other brand..... |
2-tablespoons shortening .....( do not use butter, margarine or spread or oil) |
1- package ( 20 ounces) chocolate type sandwich cookies .......... |
1 - package( 11 ounces) animal cookies |
Directions:
1. line trays or cookies sheets with wax paper
2. combine peanut butter chips, chocolate chips and shortening in a 2 quart glass measuring cup with a handle or use a bowl
3. microwave on high 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred
4. using a fork, dip each cookie into the melted chip mixture
5. gently tap fork on side of cup or bowl to remove exceess chocolate....
6. place coated cookies on prepared pans
7. top each cookie with an animal cracker
8. chill until chocolate is set about 30 minutes
9. kids will love these as well as the adults.............
10. makes 4 dozen cookies..........
