Cheddary Mashed Potato Bake

I don't remember where I got this recipe, but it's good.
Ingredients:
1 (7 1/4 ounce) box instant roasted garlic mashed potatoes
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
1 1/2 cups french's cheddar french fried onions
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°.
2. Make potatoes as directed on the package for 2 pouches (8 servings).
3. Stir in sour cream and 1 cup cheddar cheese.
4. Heat through.
5. Spoon mixture into a 2-quart baking dish.
6. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and the french fried onions.
7. Bake 10 minutes until hot and golden.
