Cheddar Rice Crisps

Makes an anytime snack or simple appy.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (or 2 cups)
3 cups crisp rice cereal
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter until fluffy.
2. Slowly mix in flour, salt, and cayenne pepper.
3. Stir in cheese and cereal.
4. Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls.
5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet (I use Silpat).
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes or until slightly brown. Serve warm or cold.
