Cheddar And Onion Scones

These are so quick and easy, you dont have to use cheddar either, you can use any kind of shredded or crumbled cheese. i love them hope you do too!
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. finely chopped green onion
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg beaten
4 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium bowl combine flour, green onion, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pepper. make a well in the center of flour mixture, set aside
2. In a small bowl stir together egg, cheese, and buttermilk, Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Using fork stir just until moistened..
3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead dough by foldng and gently pressing dough for 10-12 strokes or until dough is nearly smooth. Divide dough in half. Pat or lightly roll half of the dough into a 5-inch circle. Cut into six wedges. Repeat with remaining dough. Place wedges 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
4. Bake scones for 15-18 minutes or until golden. Serve warm
