These may sound like a Big No! -but-they are different.
Ingredients:
take a fresh bunch of celery.clean the stalks,cut off the leaves and cut the stalks up into pieces about three inches long.
take about a two quart bowl and fill it 3/4 full of water
add 2 teaspoons of anise oil (or)anise liquid flavoring
place the celery pieces in the anise water,making sure all of the celery pieces are covered by the liquid.
leave the bowl set in your refrigerator for about 4 to 5 hours
the celery will absorb all the anise in this length of time and mix it with its own natural flavors and juices
remove the celery and serve while chilled
note: on first bite you will not know quite to think,because of the different taste,but after several bites,i beleive that you will like it.
