Try this recipe for some crusty bread.
Ingredients:
1lb. of catfish fillets, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 c. of celery, chopped
1/2 c.of green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c. of onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
2 c.. of water
2 cubes beef bouillon
2 (8 oz) cans of diced tomatoes
1 (10 oz) package of frozen okra
1 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp of dried thyme
1 bay leaf
1/8 tsp of hot pepper sauce
Directions:
1. First you want to take a large pot putting 2 c. of water in it and let it boil.
2. Put your bouillon cubes in the boiling water.
3. Now in a skillet, add the olive oil and saute the celery, green pepper, onion, and the garlic.
4. Once these veggies are tender, add the tomatoes, okra, and the cooked veggies to the pot.
5. Now season with salt, red pepper, thyme, bay leaf, and your favorite hot sauce.
6. Let this cook approx. 30 min.
7. Add the catfish and cook another 15 min.
8. Ladle and serve!
