Carrot Cake

This recipe was given to my husband by a friend after a taste test at a pot luck.
Ingredients:
3 cups grated carrots
1 1/2 cups oil
2 cups flour
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup margarine
1 lb powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
1. Line 3 round cake pans with waxed paper.
2. Oil and flour lined pans.
3. Mix carrots, flour, eggs and oil.
4. Mix sugar, soda, salt, cinnamon.
5. Combine two mixtures.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
7. Cool.
8. Mix cream cheese, margarine, powdered sugar and vanilla.
9. Ice with icing mixture.
10. Sprinkle with nuts.
