Easy and inexpensive one-dish meal. The spices from the sausage flavor this dish, but add additional seasonings if you like.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup bulk sausage
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1 (16 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
hot pepper sauce
salt (optional)
pepper
1 cup uncooked rice
Directions:
1. Brown sausage, then add onion and peppers and stir-fry 2-3 minutes.
2. Add rest of ingredients plus 2 cups water; stir well, cover and cook over low heat until rice is done and liquid absorbed.
