Garlic for dessert?
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
6 tablespoons water
1/2 cup peeled garlic clove
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon brandy
Directions:
1. Pour sugar into small heavy skillet and moisten evenly with 2 Tablespoons water.
2. Place over medium heat until mixture turns golden, tipping and swirling occasionally to insure even browning.
3. Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup water and then the garlic cloves.
4. Continue cooking for 2 more minutes.
5. Swirl in the butter and then the brandy.
6. Allow to cool while you scoop the ice cream.
7. Serve warm over ice cream.
