Caramelized Fruit and Nut Clusters

I made this last Christmas. Everyone said they loved them.
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
1/2 cup walnut halves
1/2 pecan halves
1/4 cup whole blanched almond, toasted
1/4 cup dried cherries (or cranberries)
1/4 cup dried apricot, chopped small
Directions:
1. Combine sugars, milk, and corn syrup. Cook and stir over medium heat till sugars dissolve and mixture boils. Continue cooking to soft ball stage (236 degrees F).
2. Add butter or margarine and tablespoon vanilla. Let cool 10 minutes.
3. Beat just till mixture begins to lose its gloss, 3 to minutes.
4. Quickly stir in nuts and fruits till coated. Drop immediately from spoons onto buttered baking sheet.
