Caramelized Crispy Snack Mix

I found this recipe on the inside of a butter carton. It's difficult to determine the serving size for a snack but the recipe original recipe says 40 (1/2 cup) servings.
Ingredients:
9 cups corn chex
9 cups rice chex
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups candy covered plain chocolate candies
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
2. Spray roasting pan with no-stick cooking spray.
3. Place cereal in prepared pan.
4. Combine brown sugar, butter and syrup in 3-quart saucepan.
5. Cook over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil (8 to 9 minutes).
6. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 1 minute.
7. Remove from heat.
8. Add baking soda mix well.
9. Pour syrup mixture over cereal; toss gently until well coated.
10. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, or until coating is set.
11. Cool 5 minutes, stir in chocolate pieces.
12. Spread mixture onto waxed paper.
13. Cool 10 minutes.
14. Break apart.
15. Store in container with a tight-fitting lid.
