Ingredients:

  • 8 quarts popped popcorn
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp burnt sugar flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:

  1. Bring to a slow boil, the margarine, corn syrup, salt, and 2 cups brown sugar.
  2. Cook for 5 minutes after mixture begins to boil. (Stir and watch, this will burn easily).
  3. Then remove from heat and thoroughly stir in flavorings.
  4. After flavorings are combined, add baking soda (this will make it foam).
  5. Pour over papped corn;add peanuts.
  6. Stir together, then put in large cake pan;put in 250 degree oven for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Turn out on a cloth to cool.
  8. When completely cool, store in airtight container.
