1 1/2-2 cups ground oreo cookies (regular or chocolate filled) |
5 tablespoons melted unsalted butter |
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract |
combine all ingredients and press into a glass pie plate (i use a deep dish) |
filling |
1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) unsalted butter |
3/4 cup dark brown sugar (if you have only light brown sugar in your pantry it’s ok to use) |
6 tablespoons corn syrup (light or dark) |
3 tablespoons heavy cream |
3 cups pecan halves |
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate melted or chopped fine (i use the microwave for melting) |
