Caramel Apple Upside-down Cornmeal Cake

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Melt 2 tbs butter in 10 inch skillet and sautre apples over medium heat
  2. Remove apples from skillet
  3. In same skillet with remaining butter and brown sugar cook and stir over med heat until butter melts
  4. Bring to boiling
  5. Remove pan from heat
  6. Stir in milk
  7. Sprinkle with pecans and cranberries
  8. Arrange apple slices on top
  9. In a bowl combine flour ,sugar, baking powder and salt
  10. In a medium bowl combine cornmeal, water the 1/4 cup butter
  11. Stir in eggs and vanilla
  12. Stir in flour mixture just to combine
  13. Pour batter over apples
  14. Bake in a preheated 350 F oven about 30 mins or toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
  15. Cool in pan 10 mnins and invert on plate to serve
