From Mikey Price at Market Table in New York City-as repororted in the New York News-a fruity cantaloupe and strawberry soup with the extra kick of red and white wine.
Ingredients:
chill time 30-1hr
1 large cantaloupe or 2 small cantaloupes (peeled and seeded)
1/2 cup of any sweet white dessert wine
1 pint fresh strawberries
1/4 cup red wine
1 tablespoon sugar
2 fresh mint sprigs, cut into julienne strips
1/4 cup greek yogurt
Directions:
1. Roughly chop the cantaloupe and puree in a blender with the wine. Pass through a fine mesh strainer. Chill. Stem and slice the strawberries and mix with red wine, sugar and mint. Mix cantaloupe with berry mixture. Ladle into chilled bowls. Serve with a dollop of yogurt
