Candy Cane Popcorn

From a good friend of ours, Judy Madsen.
Ingredients:
4 quarts popped corn
1 cup margarine
1 1/3 cups white sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups walnuts
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 1/2 cups spiced gumdrops
Directions:
1. Mix popcorn, nuts, marshmallows and gum drops in a large mixing bowl.
2. Melt butter in a small sauce pan and add sugar and corn syrup.
3. Bring to a boil.
4. Stirring and simmer for 3 minutes.
5. Add vanilla and blend well.
6. Pour over popcorn mixture.
