Awesome Dip -I served this at a party recently and it disappeared in no time. Nice and spicy and cheesy. Great dip for veggies, chips or crackers. The recipe called for cooking in a slow cooker and that is what I did and then reheated in microwave day of party.
Ingredients:
2-3 slices bacon
2 onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined (uncooked)
1 tomato, peeled & chopped
3 c. monterey jack cheese
1 tsp. tabasco
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
salt & pepper
Directions:
1. Cook bacon until crisp and drain on paper towel. Saute the onion and garlic in bacon drippings until soft. Drain on paper towel. Chop the shrimp. Crumble the bacon in crock pot along with all other ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 1 hour until cheese is melted.
