Don't let a cloudless sky stop you from enjoying a white Christmas. Create your own by whirring hot milk in a blender until it's as light as freshly fallen snow. The creamy froth blankets strong, dark coffee for a special morning brew.
Ingredients:
8 cups steaming-hot low-fat milk
4 cups hot very strong brewed coffee (preferably french roast or espresso)
Directions:
1. Blend milk in a blender in 2 batches until frothy (use caution when blending hot liquids). Divide coffee among 8 large cups and top off with hot milk.
2. Cooks’ note: Make sure to use low-fat milk; the fat in whole milk prevents it from frothing as well.
