Butterscotch Maple Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 10 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and add sugars, salt, soda and cinnamon and blend well.
  2. Add egg and beat.
  3. Add flour and stir until mixture forms soft ball.
  4. Divide dough into three parts.
  5. Shape each into roll about 2 inches in diameter on waxed paper.
  6. Wrap and chill until firm.
  7. Slice 1/4 inch thick and place on greased baking sheets.
  8. Brush with maple syrup.
  9. Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees or until golden brown.
