A great alternative to chocolate, these sweet, chewy brownies are sure to hit the spot!
Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
6 ounces butterscotch chips
3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups nuts
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Melt shortening and butterscotch over low heat, stirring constantly.
3. Cool.
4. Blend in sugar and vanilla.
5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
6. Add dry ingredients and pour into greased pan.
7. Bake 35-40 minute.
8. Cut while warm.
