No nothing to do with pumpkin or squash!!! Butternut Snaps are a popular biscuit here in Australia made with coconut, golden syrup etc. They are divine by themselves but this is a simple way to jazz them up for a quick dessert or for unexpected company. Ingredients:
125 g cream cheese, softened |
1/3 cup caramel topping |
16 butternut snap biscuits |
1 banana, thinly sliced |
1 tablespoon icing sugar, for serving |
Directions:
1. Line a baking tray with baking paper. 2. Beat cream cheesewith an electric mixer until smooth, add caramel topping & mix well. 3. Spread 1 teaspoon of cream cheese filling over the base of 8 biscuits and then top with slices of banana. 4. Spread another teaspoon of cream cheese mixture over remaining 8 biscuits and sandwich together. 5. Place on prepared tray & cover & refrigerate for 1-2 hours. 6. Dust with icing sugar to serve. |
