Milkshakes are a wonderful treat in the hot summer months. This classic milkshake is my favorite.—Doris Stebbins, St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Ingredients:
3 cups chilled buttermilk
1/2 cup cold lemon juice
pinch of salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1 cup vanilla ice cream
dash ginger
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients; blend or shake well. Serve with ginger. Yield: 3 servings.
